Meet Jayne.
Jayne Sohn-Davis brings more than two decades of experience in education, leadership, and community building to the Aid Through Art Board of Directors. Since beginning her career as an educator in 2001, she has worked with students in Los Angeles and New York City, fostering inclusive learning environments that empower young people to find their voices and engage meaningfully with the world around them.
Currently serving as Assistant Principal at Community Roots Charter School in Brooklyn, New York, Jayne has held a variety of leadership roles throughout her career, including department head, curriculum developer, educational coach, and Coordinator of Equity and Anti-Bias Education. She is also a founding member of the Anti-Bias Education Collective, where she has facilitated workshops for educators, staff, and families focused on equity, inclusion, and community engagement.
Through her work supporting schools, educators, and leaders, Jayne has developed deep expertise in curriculum design, organizational leadership, professional development, and creating spaces where diverse perspectives are valued and celebrated. Her commitment to education, social justice, and human connection aligns closely with Aid Through Art's mission of using creativity as a catalyst for healing, empowerment, and positive change.
